Volume Calculations

Volume calculations are a common request from many of our sub and main contractor clients. For example the mound below was calculated for TR Demolition. The volume of the mound (just over 700 c.m.) was calc’d by producing two models (see left of screen shot below), our survey software then calculates the difference between the two and produces the Volume Model and Volume Report seen on the right.

The Volume Report gives a detailed breakdown of the calculation, whilst the Volume Model shows the height of the mound (above the toe, set at 0) on a chosen grid (generally 1-2m depending on the overall mound size).
