Slab Survey

a before & after concrete slab survey...

The Bristol Port Company requested a Level Survey across a concrete slab in one of their warehouses. The previous tenants had moved out so the warehouse was empty bar a few stacking racks on the east side. The purpose of the survey was to compare the data to that of a second survey which would be completed once the new tenants had moved their stock into the warehouse.

A 3m grid was taken across the 90mx90m slab. By comparing the data from the two surveys (one of which is below), it was then possible to gauge the deflection of across the slab.
