John Lewis, Cheltenham

This £30m project involved the conversion of the Beechwood Place shopping centre in Cheltenham into a new flagship John Lewis department store.

Lansdowne were employed in two roles by the steel frame contractor. First job was to survey the (once stripped back) existing frame. This gave the designers accurate plans of the frame from which to design a number of new additions: atrium, atrium roof, roof plant decks, new store frontage and dozens of internal trimmers for staircases, lift shafts and additional m&e units.

Once these new components were designed our surveyor/engineer returned to site to then set-out each new section of steel.
