No. 1 Lewins Mead, Bristol

Number One Bristol is a distinctive building located in the heart of Bristol’s cultural centre which sits tall among the city skyline. This sublime development has been designed with the city worker in mind, offering the best of modern living and amenities on site which are more akin to London style developments.

The East Wing is an eight story building offering 62 studio, one and two bedroom apartments. The West Wing houses 86 studio, one and two bedroom apartments in addition to the 3 bedroom apartments.

Lansdowne worked on this project for not only the main contractor Bray&Slaughter, but also the architectural and framework steel sub-contractors.

Extensive and detailed surveys of the original (once stripped back) frame were undertaken by three of Lansdowne's surveyors, thus enabling the projects many designers and architects with plans to base their new design upon. The same team then set-out these new components over the following months.

As well as dozens of new balconies being added to the existing two towers, a mezzanine was added to the 14th floor penthouse level on the west block and a roof garden added to the east block.
